Exclusivity of titles, subscription fees and other factors could mean gamers don't want to go this route in the future, but Microsoft has a very nice track record for most fighting games in terms of input delay and overall performance. We also get to the Xbox Series X, which was skipped entirely with Street Fighter 5, but there's also a solid history to look back upon for how Microsoft consoles have performed while running the latest and greatest fighting games. The PlayStation 5 is a very powerful machine though, with a strong SSD to offset load times, and numerous other hardware changes, how strong will performance be on the newest Sony hardware, and how extensive will the library be for people who like to dip into other games and genres?

From input delay, load times, to the console just not being able to keep up in general, we've seen a lot of bad things from that platform through the years when trying to play titles from this genre at the highest of levels. Sony's PlayStation platforms are notorious for having issues with fighting games. However, are they any potential problems with gamers going for that platform that may bump it down a spot or two? With Capcom's recent acknowledgement that PC would be the main platform they focus on, along with Street Fighter 5 currently playing best there as well, it appears that the PC platform is the clear front runner. The main three platforms we cover are the personal computer (PC), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
